From the front it looks like an SUV
After initially unveiling in South Korea late last year, the 2025 Kia Carnival minivan has been introduced in the United States. The car looks more like an SUV than ever, thanks to the new massive front end. But the changes don’t end there.
The 2025 Kia Carnival does resemble the new Sorento, sporting Kia's large rectangular grille flanked by the automaker's cube headlights and LED running lights. New taillights have also been installed. From the side you can see the sliding side doors, which remind you that this is in fact a front-wheel drive minivan.
The spacious cargo space measures 4 cubic meters with the seats folded down. All passengers can take advantage of the optional Connected Car Rear Cockpit entertainment package, which adds multiple 14.6-inch HD monitors to the cabin.
Up front, there's a new dashboard and center console that, while similar in design to the previous Carnival, contains more technology. Added new Kia car navigation panel, Digital Key 2 feature, which allows smartphones to act as keys, supports over-the-air updates.
Under the hood, a new hybrid powertrain option is available. It combines a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine with a 54kW motor, generating a combined 242bhp. The engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission, but it's worth noting that this is not a plug-in hybrid setup. For those who prefer their Carnival without electrification, the familiar 3.5-liter V6 is still available with 287 hp
