It will be released in 2025
GAC CEO Huang Yongqiang released a sketch of the joint GAC Trumpchi and Huawei sedan, which will be released in 2025.
Previously, at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show in April, GAC Trumpchi announced a joint plan with Huawei to launch models equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system and Huawei's latest generation HarmonyOS cockpit system.
GAC Trumpchi and Huawei will collaborate on three vehicles, namely a large luxury flagship minivan, a luxury flagship SUV and a luxury flagship luxury sedan that will compete with famous European brands including Mercedes. The first model will be released in the first quarter of 2025.
The collaboration between GAC and Huawei began in 2017, when GAC became one of the first Chinese automobile companies to collaborate with Huawei on smart connected electric vehicle technologies. Then, in September 2020, the two companies signed another agreement to deepen strategic cooperation to jointly create a digital platform.
In March, GAC Trumpchi signed a contract with Huawei to join the Harmony ecosystem and begin developing its own applications based on HarmonyOS Next.
