On the portal there is only information about biometrics
The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia has denied information that the portal «Gosuslug» collects and stores biometrics.
«By law, banks must transfer all previously collected biometric data of citizens to a unified biometric system (UBS). On „State Services“ biometrics are not stored! The portal only contains information about biometrics located in the EBS. It is displayed in your personal account on the portal. Citizens can delete biometrics at any time after transfer to the EBS», — the message says.
It is noted that the bank must notify the owner of the biometrics 30 days in advance about the transfer of data to the EBS, and after importing the biometric data, the bank must delete it. You can delete your data from the EBS in your personal account on the portal «Gosuslug» or by withdrawing consent to placement in a unified system from the EBS operator — Center for Biometric Technologies.
«The submission and collection of biometrics to the EBS is — exclusively voluntary. To register biometrics in the EBS at a bank branch or through a mobile application, a citizen must give consent to this. This is enshrined legislatively— emphasized by the Ministry of Digital Development.
