In 2024, a spacious sedan from Geely will officially appear in Russia
Today, as part of the Russian-Chinese Automotive Forum, Geely announced four new products for Russia. As you can see on the slide, these include two compact crossovers, one midsize crossover and one midsize sedan.
The resource “Chinese Cars” has already found out what kind of models are hidden “under the veil”. According to a source familiar with Geely’s immediate plans, the company will bring to Russia in 2024 a completely new Atlas (aka Starray), its smaller youth version Atlas Cool, the Okavango L family crossover, and the Preface L sedan, which can replace the Toyota Camry in Russia.
The new Atlas has already gone on sale in Kazakhstan, and the car turned out to be inexpensive (cheaper than the current Atlas Pro in Russia). The car in the neighboring market is offered with two engines and in three trim levels. Probably the same thing will happen in Russia.
Atlas Cool is a smaller version of the new Atlas. However, it is not yet clear what this model will be called in Russia. The dimensions of the Atlas Cool are 4510 x 1865 x 1650 mm, the wheelbase is 2701 mm. That is, Atlas Cool is shorter than Atlas Pro.
The equipment of the Atlas Cool in China is the same as that of the regular Atlas. The engine is a 1.5-liter with a power of 181 hp, working in conjunction with a 7-speed “robot”, and the drive is exclusively front-wheel drive. According to the Chinese Automotive source, Atlas Cool will appear in Russia only by the end of 2024.
Geely declassified the 7-seater crossover Okavango L model 2024 just the other day (but there has not yet been a full premiere), in this updated form it will arrive in Russia.

In general, there are a lot of new products. With Monjaro, Tugella, second-generation Coolray and Emgrand remaining in the lineup, the brand's range will expand to eight models by the end of 2024. But the first generation Coolray with Atlas Pro will not go anywhere, they will simply be sold under the BelGee brand.
