After the April presentation at the Beijing Auto Show, the manufacturer showed the production version of Smart #5, an all-electric SUV.
Its dimensions are 4705 x 1920 x 1705 mm, wheelbase – 2900 mm. It is a 5-door, 5-seater car that can be equipped with 18- and 21-inch wheels. Curb weight is 2450 kg for the top-end configuration with up to 638 horsepower.
The power of the rear-wheel drive version can be 335 or 358 hp. The all-wheel drive version can have a power of 579 or 638 hp. Rear-wheel drive versions are equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, while all-wheel drive versions — Nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) batteries. The capacity has not yet been published. The maximum speed is limited to 200 km/h, and the top — 210 km/h
Smart #5 will support 800V architecture and 4C charging, meaning the car can theoretically be charged four times per hour, or in other words, fully charged in 15 minutes. The package will include a battery with a capacity of 100 kW•h, which will be enough for CLTC 700 km.
CarNewsChina writes that it will appear in the fourth quarter.
