The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ announced yesterday will run on the Exynos 2400 processor certain markets, including Europe and Ukraine. The chipset was technically unveiled in October, but then Samsung did not name key details such as processor frequency and nuclear configuration.
The Exynos 2400 processor received one super-powerful Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.2 GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.9 GHz and three Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6 GHz . For less demanding tasks there are four efficient Cortex-A520 cores operating at 2 GHz.
Samsung said the new processor will bring 1.7x faster CPU performance and 14.7x faster AI processing speed compared to its two-year-old predecessor Exynos 2200. GPU – Xclipse 940 on AMD RDNA 3 architecture, which should improve support for mobile ray tracing, rendering and reflections, reports GSMArena.
Exynos 2400 is built on the 4nm LPP+ process from Samsung Semiconductor, and all cores are based on the ARMv9 architecture. It also comes with a new ISP and supports LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0.

In other markets, particularly South Korea, the US and China, the Galaxy S24 and S24+ will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The top-of-the-line Galaxy S24 Ultra will be sold with this processor from Qualcomm in all markets.
