From May 2024
AvtoVAZ will raise retail prices for Lada in May, as reported by «Avtopotok» with reference directly to the statement of the company's president Maxim Sokolov.
Editor-in-Chief «Behind the wheel» confirms the information and quotes Sokolov:
The cost of production has increased significantly over the last period, and sanctions risks have increased. And because of this, accordingly, both AvtoVAZ and our component suppliers are forced to use complex logistics and financial chains. And all this creates preconditions for price revision.
Prices are promised to be adjusted below the current inflation level.
In March, a source at AvtoVAZ said that the plant plans to maintain recommended retail prices (RRP) for Lada cars until the end of April. It turns out that the company is moving according to the planned schedule.
Even earlier, the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, said that the plant does not plan to raise prices against the backdrop of inflation, so in fact, customers already receive cars at discounts: «Because maintaining the price — indexation for inflation, and here the prices of 2023 will be maintained, which means, in fact, a decrease in the level of inflation that we will have in 2024».
The last time AvtoVAZ raised prices was at the beginning of November last year by an amount from 64 to 106 thousand rubles. It is worth adding that prices for Lada also increased last May.
