Production starts in the third quarter
The new Lada Aura business sedan is a «product of the future», as stated by the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov.
In an interview with the TV channel «Togliatti 24» Maxim Sokolov confirmed that the start of its production in Togliatti is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024, and also made several high-profile statements.
Describing the Lada Aura, the director of the domestic automobile giant said that this is already a “full-fledged car of the next C-class”, and the platform on which it is created is in full technological sovereignty and ownership «AvtoVAZ».
«And, in general, if we talk about the main tactical and technical characteristics, without touching on the dimensions of this car, then they largely correspond to the „basic“ Vesta car. But still, this is another confident step forward in the development of this platform», — added Maxim Sokolov.
As we already reported, Sokolov said that rear passengers in the new Lada Aura will be more comfortable and convenient than in the same Toyota Camry, which has always been one of the best sellers among business class cars in Russia.
