This applies to both CPU and GPU
Geekbench tests have shown that the Snapdragon X Elite SoC can compete with the younger version of the Apple M3 Pro. Qualcomm itself decided to publish a comparison of its platform with Core Ultra.
The results were also collected on Geekbench. According to them, Snapdragon X Elite is 51% faster than the Core Ultra 9 185H with half the power consumption. By lowering the TDP to a level where the processors have identical performance, the Snapdragon X Elite will consume 65% less power. Compared to the Core Ultra 7 155H, the Qualcomm platform is 54% faster. These are the results in single-threaded mode.
For us, multi-threaded is more important, and here the Snapdragon X Elite is ahead of the Core Ultra 9 185H by 41%, and the Core Ultra 7 155H — by 52%. With identical performance, the Qualcomm platform consumes 58-60% less energy.
There are also iGPU tests. In 3DMark Wildlife Extreme, the Snapdragon X Elite is 36% faster than the Core Ultra 7 155H. This is a lot, considering that the graphics core of the Core Ultra is very, very productive.
