iPad users have been criticizing Apple for the lack of a calculator for 14 years
Apple yesterday introduced not only the iOS 18 mobile operating system for its iPhone smartphones, but also a version for tablets – iPadOS 18: The update includes many AI-powered features, as well as a built-in calculator.
Note that «Calculator» has been one of the most requested features that users have been asking for from Apple since the launch of the first iPad. Updated application «Calculator» adapted for the large iPad screen, can work in normal and engineering mode, supports Apple Pencil for entering mathematical formulas, converting units of measurement, and much more.
Of course, there are many other innovations. Among them – changed design of built-in applications with «tab bar» (tab bar), remote control of the tablet from another iPad, new «Notes», game mode for increased performance, and so on.
iPadOS 18 will bring a built-in «Calculator» for all iPad models compatible with the update. iPadOS 18 is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2024, and the public beta should become available in July.
