There were problems during the last Starship landing
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk continues to share details of the fourth test flight of the giant Starship rocket, which took place last week.
During the fourth test flight, the Starship's heat shield burned out, and then the wing began to collapse, but after all this, the Starship splashed down safely in the ocean.
According to Elon Musk, SpaceX will add more powerful heat protection panels to the rocket before the fifth flight, and the next flight could take place as early as next month. Such a long break will be needed precisely to solve the problem with the heat shield.
As with other spacecraft, Starship's heat shield is one of its most complex components. SpaceX uses thousands of tiles to create a heat shield. According to Musk, SpaceX will upgrade the rocket's thermal protection before the next flight.
