A hybrid minivan from Great Wall will arrive in Russia this year. In China, the model is called Gaoshan, and in Russia the car will be designated Wey 80. According to Chinese Cars, type approval for the Wey 80 will be received in September, and sales will start in November.

The most interesting — In Russia, the Wey 80 will be offered with two body lengths and, accordingly, two wheelbase options. Standard version — 5045 mm long and with a wheelbase of 3085 mm, this design is as close as possible to the Toyota Alphard, the class standard. The stretched version (length 5405 mm, wheelbase — 3275 mm) is already more typical for Chinese minivans. The car's ground clearance is low — 155 mm, fuel tank volume — 58 liters.

Gaoshan (aka Alpine, aka Wey 80) — plug-in hybrid based on a 1.5-liter turbo engine combined with two electric motors. The power of the power plant of the short version — 487 hp, traction battery capacity — 37.96 kW·h. In the long version, the power plant develops 458 hp, the capacity of the traction battery — 44.28 kW·h. The power reserve on pure electricity is 140 and 170 km, respectively.
