Trump-era tax tariffs will take effect May 31, 2025

Video cards and other components in the US will not yet rise sharply by 25% due to tax tariffs during the presidency of Donald Trump.

It was recently reported that the Biden government had decided to impose these tariffs on Chinese goods after another delay, but now it has become known that they will not take effect until next year.

The United States Trade Representative (USTR) said that the innovations will start working on May 31, 2025, that is, exactly one year from now. True, this applies specifically to video cards, motherboards and other products that are related to the consumer IT market. For some other goods, the new tax tariff began to apply yesterday.
