Zotac unveiled the Zone handheld gaming console during the Taipei International Computer Show. The Zotac Zone is expected to be officially released in September 2024.
The Zotac Zone handheld gaming console is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor and Radeon 780M graphics. While the official TDP of the model has not been disclosed, it is expected to be 15W by default and have a maximum TDP of — 28 W.
The GR gaming portable features a 7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz display refresh rate and 800 nits peak brightness. The screen does not support variable refresh rate. The device is equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, and the M.2 2280 slot is equipped with a PCIe 4.0 x4 solid-state drive with a capacity of at least 512GB.
Zotac Zone measures 310 x 135 x 40 mm. It weighs about 700 g. The device is equipped with sticks and triggers with Hall sensors. They provide accurate and reliable determination of the position of the controls, as they are highly sensitive. In games, this gives accuracy and high reaction speed.
The Zotac Zone handheld gaming console runs Windows 11 Home Edition and is equipped with a 48.5 Wh lithium-ion battery.
The price of the Zotac Zone portable game console is projected to be around $800, and sales will begin in September.
