Next year this sedan will officially arrive in Russia
On Sunday evening, Geely officially launched the updated Preface L sedan (aka Xingrui L) with a hybrid powertrain onto the home market. The car is built on the joint platform of Geely and Volvo CMA, and based on its dimensions, power and equipment, it can easily compete with the class icon – Toyota Camry.
Sloping stampings on the exterior body panels create a sweeping appearance – when viewed in profile. The front optics are narrow, the rear lights are connected by a cross member in a modern manner.
Dimensions are 4825 x 1880 x 1469 mm, wheelbase is 2800 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of the current Camry XV70 are 4880 x 1840 x 1445 mm with a wheelbase length of 2820 mm.
Leather interior. The main color is black or white, the inserts are purple. There are a lot of new things in the cabin – this is the central screen, the steering wheel, and the driving mode switch (it has moved to the steering column).
The media system includes a display with a diagonal of 13.2 inches and a resolution of 2K, a digital instrument panel is “drawn” on a screen with a diagonal of 10.2 inches and a resolution of 1920 x 532 pixels. There is 50 W wireless charging (supports proprietary Huawei, Xiaomi and Oppo protocols), as well as four USB ports – two for front passengers, two for rear ones.
The top version (called Nebula) has 215/55 R17 wheels, light and rain sensors, a panoramic roof with sunroof, an 8-speaker audio system, a 6-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, an all-round viewing system, adaptive cruise control operating in the range from 0 to 150 km/h and a lot of driver assistance systems.
Now all the details about the power plant have finally appeared. Despite the fact that there are two electric motors, only one mainly drives the wheels – with a power of 136 hp. The same motor has a built-in kinetic energy recovery system. Additional motor with 81.5 hp. mainly performs the role of a starter-generator, but can be connected during periods of peak load (for example, during intense acceleration). The 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with a thermal efficiency of 44.26% produces 163 hp. The operation of all engines is coordinated by a three-speed 3DHT transmission.
Next year, just such a Geely Preface will come to Russia and will be sold by official Geely dealers.
