Yesterday, February 4, a Zeekr 001 vehicle burned out in a parking lot in the commercial district of Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. Just a few days ago, Zeekr emphasized its commitment to safety and quality, highlighting that it has delivered nearly 210,000 vehicles in a year without a single case of spontaneous combustion.
Zeekr said that relevant personnel immediately arrived on the scene. There were no casualties. After preliminary investigation, it was determined that the bottom plate of the vehicle's battery was damaged. Traces of condensation leakage after melting of aluminum parts were also visible.
Determining the specific cause of the fire will require further investigation. Zeekr said it will actively cooperate with the fire department in the investigation. Zeekr will assist users in resolving related issues, and also intends to fully protect the rights and interests of users.
Zeekr previously reported a significant increase in vehicle shipments in January 2024, with 12,537 units, up 302% from a year earlier.
