PCs must be delivered before November 25, 2024
Russian Railways announced plans to purchase more than 9,000 Russian computers or automated workstations (AWS) to replace foreign ones, as reported by Vedomosti. with reference to company documents.

The Contractor will have to deliver the computers no later than November 25, 2024. The purchased automated workstations must include a system unit, monitor, keyboard and mouse included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Russian operating system Astra Linux Special Edition and the Yandex browser must be preinstalled on the PC.
Standards for state-owned companies to purchase goods of Russian origin, including PCs and hardware components, were determined by government decree No. 2013 of December 3, 2020. Since last year, the minimum share of purchased laptops and tablets of Russian origin is 70%.< /p>
