The original AM General Humvee is known for its cross-country ability. This particular example can be even more efficient thanks to a number of modifications that include tracks instead of wheels.
This Humvee has an exhaust extension that makes it very useful for wading through bodies of water. A car with these modifications can drive through a ford up to 3 meters deep.
In addition to the tank tracks and wading kit, this particular Humvee also had its doors removed. Under the hood it has a 6.5-liter V8 diesel engine mated to a three-speed automatic transmission.
It will be sold at Mecum's Houston 2024 auction, which will be held from April 4 to 6.
