The first model will be released in 2025
Hyundai's upcoming battery-electric pickup truck may be called the Ioniq T10, as hinted at by a recent trademark application filed in Australia.
The trademark, registered on December 27, 2023, covers a wide range of automotive applications, including «automobiles», «electric vehicles» and «automobile parts and accessories». «10» means it will be positioned, at least in size, at the top of the brand's electric vehicle lineup, sitting above the upcoming Ioniq 7, Hyundai's version of the Kia EV9.
Although a trademark application has been filed in Australia, that market will not be the primary market for the vehicle. The pickup is also expected to be available in North America, although it's unclear whether it will fit the size of full-size models like the Ford F-150 and GMC Sierra or small midsize trucks like the Chevy Colorado.
It is expected to use the same mechanical components as other Hyundai EVs, including electric motors and battery pack.
Hyundai is also working on a second electric pickup truck, having filed a separate trademark application for the Ioniq T7 name. This model may be smaller than the Ioniq T10 and possibly similar in size to the Santa Cruz.
Hyundai is rumored to be ready to launch a new model in 2025 or 2026.
