The speed with which new aircraft are being introduced into service suggests that there are no problems with the COMAC C919
China Eastern Airlines announced the opening of a third route for the Chinese airliner COMAC C919, capable of replacing medium-haul narrow-body airliners Airbus and Boeing: this time the aircraft will make regular flights from Shanghai to Xi'an. Between these cities there are approximately 1400 km.
The new route will be the third regular route for the COMAC C919; before that, the airliner carried out regular services between Shanghai and Chengdu, as well as between Shanghai and Beijing.
China Eastern Airlines currently has five COMAC C919s in its fleet, all of which operate commercial services. Less than a year has passed since the first aircraft was put into operation.
