The Yandex team announced the start of sales of the first smart home devices supported by the new Matter protocol. The first signs were the LED strip and socket. As noted in the press service, they will help create atmospheric lighting and add voice control through «Alice» common home appliances.
The devices are connected to a smart home with «Alice» according to the new universal Matter protocol using most models of «Yandex Stations» or «Yandex Hub».
The press service explained:
This technology allows you to fill your smart home with devices from different brands. Devices marked Matter are compatible with each other and connect in the same way — clear and fast. And scenarios with such devices can work even if the Internet goes off.
The LED strip and smart socket are already on sale on «Yandex Market» and in popular online electronics stores for 3990 and 1790 rubles, respectively.
