IllFonic has released reviews of the online horror game Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game in advance. Reviews can be read a week before the official release.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game won't be out until June 4th (for most people, and for those enticed by pre-orders, the fun has already begun), but reviews are already available. Looking at how many positive ratings the asymmetrical horror gets, we can assume that the project will be at least a small success. On Opencritic, the killer clown game received an average of 7.2/10 after 14 reviews.
Many well-known editors gave the game an 8/10. Game Informer, Shacknews and ZTGD, among others, praised the project, writing about the excellent graphics that go beyond the level of a low-budget project and the excellent atmosphere. Game Informer (8/10) writes that if the developers had fixed the errors, the rating could have been even higher.
“Killer Klowns From Outer Space has the potential to be the best game in its genre if only IllFonic can work out the bugs in the upcoming patch and provide interesting post-release content.”
Push Square, which gave it a 5/10, on the other hand, laments the lack of cinematic humor, which makes it difficult for the game to compete with other asymmetrical online horror games.
