The Yadro company plans to occupy 10-15% of the Russian market for tablets in the mid-price segment worth about 40 thousand rubles. The company’s CEO Dmitry Cherkasov spoke about this at a presentation dedicated to the launch of the kvadraOS operating system, which took place yesterday, May 16. According to Cherkasov, if we manage to occupy 10-15% of the market in the near future, this will be a good result for the new brand.

The head of Yadro announced that the volume of investment in the development of user devices under the Kvadra brand will amount to 10 billion rubles. According to him, in the next 2-3 years several billion rubles will be invested in the creation of new models, although Cherkasov did not say anything about specific products.

The production of the first tablet of the Kvadra_T line was organized at the company’s site in Dubna, Moscow Region, production capacity — 1 million devices per year. Within the Kvadra ecosystem, the company intends not only to release mobile devices, but also to create its own set of applications and services. Some of them have already been implemented on the Kvadra_T tablet; it also supports applications developed for the Android OS.
