On sale next year
Western Digital announced the SanDisk Extreme PRO memory card with a record capacity of 4 TB. Such a drive will certainly be useful to many videographers, but it can also be used to expand the memory of a laptop with the appropriate slot.
All characteristics have not yet been disclosed — The drive will go on sale only next year. However, judging by the inscriptions in the picture, the maximum data transfer speed will be 104 MB/s, and the minimum sequential write speed will be 30 MB/s (which is considered suitable for recording 8K video).
The price, of course, has not been announced. But considering that the 1 TB SanDisk Extreme Pro now costs $140 in the US, you can imagine how expensive a 4 TB drive will be.
