Even after the departure of Renault and the French specialists, the engineering center was preserved and is now one of the largest in the industry. Currently, almost 4,000 people work in this AvtoVAZ center.
«Despite this, we decided to open a second engineering center in St. Petersburg. This is one of the most significant events of 2023», — added Maxim Sokolov.
The head of AvtoVAZ added that the plant is training its own engineering personnel and developing engineering centers. The AvtoVAZ center in St. Petersburg is located in the NEVKA business complex and is designed for 160 workplaces.
Maxim Sokolov also named the true reasons for the transfer of Lada Largus production to Izhevsk.
