This happened on the Mercedes GLC 300 2024
The 2024 Nissan Murano is being recalled due to side windows that can fall out while driving. The recall notice shows that the vehicles were manufactured with the wrong primer on the side glass panels. The adhesive bond may be broken, causing the left and right glass panels to separate during movement.
Nissan says this creates a safety hazard for other vehicles and increases the risk of a crash. Nissan says owners of affected 2024 Murano models can know the problem exists if they hear increased wind noise from the glass panel and rattling.
The problem was first noticed by a Nissan technician on October 11, 2023 after the wrong primer was loaded into the equipment used to assemble the rear window. Nissan inspected 72 Murano models at its site and repaired them, but some of the cars ended up with customers.
Owners of potentially affected vehicles will be notified of the recall beginning March 1, 2024, and dealers will be instructed to replace the left and right side glass panels at no charge. Repair will take about 3 hours.
In December, Nissan announced it was recalling the 2021 Rogue due to faulty brake calipers.
Last year it became known that the Mercedes GLC 300 2024 windows can also fly out while driving.
