UFS 5.0 flash memory will not appear in smartphones any time soon. Samsung said that it is already working on this standard, but it will have to wait a long time.
The Korean giant's latest roadmap points to the arrival of UFS 5.0 no earlier than 2027. True, Samsung's competitors may release such memory earlier, but it is unlikely that the company is already laying any significant gap behind other market players.
At the same time, Samsung is also not going to sit idly by and is preparing improvements to the current UFS 4.0 memory. Next year the company plans to introduce a new version of this standard with a higher speed.
