Russian marketplace Wildberries has launched an order cancellation function: a button has appeared that allows you to cancel delivery, but only within one hour after placing the order or until its assembly begins (whichever comes first). The online platform announced testing of this feature at the end of December last year, and now this function has been implemented.
The company's message indicates that the function of canceling an order with the corresponding button has been working since January 15th. The button appears on the website and in the mobile application in the «Delivery» section. after placing an order. At the first stage, the option is available to users who purchase goods on a postpaid basis, and in the future, the ability to cancel an order using a button will become available to all customers. In addition, at first the new option will only be available for products from sellers who store products in their own warehouses.
According to the marketplace, the cancellation function will help reduce the number of accidental orders: if the client chose the wrong address, made an order by accident, or made a mistake with the number of items.
