Over the past weekend, Stardew Valley fans saw the game's highest traffic numbers on Steam since it launched on the platform in 2016. More than 236,000 people simultaneously played Stardew Valley on Steam on Saturday night, surpassing the AAA-new Dragon's Dogma 2.

All thanks to the release of the free update 1.6, which brought a lot new features, including multiplayer for up to 8 players.

The author announced that he had started creating a new project, Haunted Chocolatier, but work was suspended for several months until update 1.6 will be released on all platforms and bugs will not be fixed. Currently 1.6 is only available on PC.
