No, Huawei has not yet succeeded in this. The analysis showed that the Kirin 9010 SoC in the Pura70 Ultra smartphone is still produced using the old 7 nm process technology

The TechInsights resource disassembled the Huawei Pura70 Ultra smartphone and made sure that the new SoC Kirin 9010 does not use a new technical process.

No special technologies or knowledge are required here. The Kirin 9010 is very similar to the Kirin 9000s in terms of parameters, and a visual comparison shows that these platforms are approximately identical in size. This means that the new SoC is produced using the same 7 nm process technology at SMIC facilities as the Kirin 9000s. Let us remind you that SMIC is supposed to start producing chips according to 5 nm standards this year, but it’s unclear exactly when. Perhaps this SoC will be received by smartphones of the Mate 70 line.

The 5 nm process will allow Huawei to create a more powerful solution than the Kirin 9000s/9010, but you shouldn’t expect a miracle. We see that SMIC's 7nm process technology is worse than that of TSMC or Samsung, so 5nm Kirin platforms will not boast either record performance or good energy efficiency.
