Everyone will have Zen 5c cores
AMD is preparing several lines of new processors based on the Zen 5 architecture this year. Such solutions will appear in both the mobile and desktop segments. And today details have emerged about the configuration of the cores of such APUs for laptops.
So, the Strix Point line will have a maximum of 12 cores, of which there will be four Zen 5 cores and eight Zen 5c.
The Kraken Point line will have up to eight cores: four each Zen 5 and Zen 5c. The Sonoma Valley line will only include Zen 5c cores, and there will be a maximum of only four of them. Such APUs will be aimed at energy-efficient PCs. We haven’t really heard anything about these APUs before, and it is not yet clear how they will be positioned, but these could be modern and yet affordable processors.
