Unseen has released Kemuri's first behind-the-scenes video. The game is being created by the indie team of Ikumi Nakamura, one of the most famous developers of Tango Gameworks, which created Ghostwire: Tokyo.

The video shows a series of concept art and animation sequences that will give you an idea of what the project will look like.

The developers said that Kemuri will be an open world dominated by youkai – spirits that mysteriously entered the human world and act as allies or enemies depending on the circumstances.

According to Nakamura, The goal of the game is a co-op online PvE action game that “merges the yokai world with the real world, awakening a certain curiosity about elements we've lost sight of as we've gotten older.”

The main characters are youkai hunters who manage to gain supernatural abilities with the help of the “Fox Window”, thanks to which they can correctly see and perceive the spirit world.
