This is a sedan with a length of just under 5 m
The newest BYD Qin L sedan was shown without camouflage. This hybrid with an electric range of up to 90 km occupies an intermediate position between the Qin Plus and Han.
The Qin L features the brand's latest Dragon Face design from former Audi veteran Wolfgang Egger. The Qin L's front bumper features two air vents and a slim trapezoidal air intake. BYD Qin L received a large radiator grille, functional deflectors and parking sensors at the front and rear. The sedan has traditional door handles, a charging port on the rear right fender and a fuel filler door on the left rear fender.
It received a three-spoke steering wheel with a cut-off lower part, an LCD instrument cluster and a large screen. Unlike the Qin Plus sedan, the L version comes with a head-up display. The overall dimensions of the BYD Qin L are 4830 x 1900 x 1495 mm with a wheelbase of 2790 mm. Its front and rear tracks are 1620 mm. The approach and departure angles are 13 and 14 degrees, respectively. Its curb weight ranges from 1660 to 1800 kg, depending on the power plant option.
BYD Qin L uses a completely new 5th generation DM-i hybrid powertrain based on a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine and an electric motor. Buyers will be offered two versions:
- LFP battery 10.08 kW·h, fuel consumption 3.8 l/100 km, electric range 60 km;
- LFP battery 15.87 kW·h, fuel consumption 3.98 l/100 km, electric range 90 km.
Its public debut could take place at the Beijing Auto Show next month.
