NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang personally delivered the world's first copy of the artificial intelligence accelerator DGX H200 to Sam Altman and Greg Brockman of OpenAI. The trio shared a keepsake photo on X Twitter.
The new DGX H200 AI server consists of dedicated H200 Tensor Core GPU H200 GPUs. Compared to its predecessor, the H100, the new GPU has almost doubled the memory, to 141 GB at a speed of one and a half times from 4.8 TB/s (80 GB and 3.3 TB/s for the H100). NVIDIA calls it the world's fastest AI processor, and it's hard to argue with that.

Huang signed the computer: “To advance artificial intelligence, computing and humanity.” The event is reminiscent of a scene from 2016, when Huang delivered the world's first DGX-1 server, which was handed over to Elon Musk. Musk, who was then a co-founder of OpenAI, received the DGX-1, signed by Huang as “The Future of Computing and Humanity.” OpenAI called DGX-1 a gift that accelerated their research by weeks. The huge leap in performance from the DGX H200 can also make a significant difference in speeding up computing.
However, Musk is now suing OpenAI. He claims he is terminating their founding contract due to OpenAI's transition from a nonprofit to a for-profit company, as well as the increased potential danger from artificial general intelligence (AGI), calling the prospect of AGI a “grave threat to humanity.”
