Turkey has created special visas for digital nomads or “digital nomads”. Ukrainians will also be able to use them.
The Office for Culture and Information of the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine told the editor about this.
To obtain a Turkey visa, digital nomads can easily begin the application process through the Digital Nomad GoTürkiye pre-application platform.
- After completing the requirements on this platform, which is just the first step of the process, digital nomads will receive a “Digital Nomad ID Certificate”.
- With this certificate received from the platform, digital nomads must continue with the procedures at Turkish consulates and/or visa centers.
Who can become a digital nomad in Turkey?
Citizens of France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Denmark, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Bulgaria , Romania, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, UK, Switzerland, USA, Canada and Ukraine aged between 21 and 55 years old can apply for a digital nomad visa to Turkey.
To receive your Digital Nomad ID Certificate, you must upload the following documents after registering on the platform:
- Travel document/passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in Turkey.
- Higher education diploma or a document that replaces it.
- Document confirming that the applicant works as a digital nomad:
- Contract, for those who work for a company (except for companies in Turkey). Employment contract between the applicant and the company, if the applicant is a self-employed person (except for companies in Turkey)
- Biometric photo.
- Document confirming that the applicant has a monthly income of $3,000 or an annual income of $36,000.
