Consumption reduced to 8.8 l per 100 km
The upgraded version of the Tank 500 Hi4-T goes on sale in China today, March 18th. While the all-electric range will remain the same, the new engine and intelligent all-wheel drive help reduce fuel consumption. The car also received an upgraded human-machine interface.
Tank 500 Hi4-T — It's a hybrid that uses a 37.1 kWh battery and a 2.0L engine to drive the wheels and act as a generator. The new version has an E20NB engine, while the previously released car has an E20NA engine. The new engine, as carnewschina writes, is more economical. The maximum power is 185 kW and the peak torque is 380 Nm.
The advantage, as already noted, is fuel economy. This is also facilitated by the new intelligent all-wheel drive system. Thanks to the modernization, fuel consumption is reduced from 9.55 liters to 8.8 liters per 100 km, which is quite a significant improvement.
The electric motor driving the front wheels remains unchanged, producing 120 kW of power and 400 Nm of torque. In combination with the petrol engine, the system output is 300 kW and the combined torque — 750 Nm.
The upgrade also extends to a new generation of intelligent interface system. The user interface has become more intuitive and has improved mobile phone connectivity.
We will update the note as soon as the price becomes known.
