Unique AirJet Mini Slim solid-state cooling system designed for SSDs

Its thickness is only 2.5 mm

While MSI is installing a huge full-fledged liquid CO on SSDs, Frore Systems invites manufacturers to use its revolutionary AirJet solid-state cooler.

The company introduced the AirJet Mini Slim version, specially created for SSD. This cooler, as you might guess from the name, is very thin. Its thickness is only 2.5 mm, which is much thinner than even conventional radiators that are mounted on SSDs. The CO weighs only 8 g, and the module dimensions are 27.5 x 41.5 mm.

Its performance is quite modest: it can handle up to 5.25 W of power, so we need to wait for tests to understand whether this is enough for modern SSDs with PCIe 5.0. However, it will probably be possible to install two such coolers on one SSD.

Recall that AirJet is a very unusual solution. This is the so-called «solid-state cooler». Inside the AirJet are tiny membranes that vibrate at ultrasonic frequencies, and they create a powerful airflow that enters the AirJet through the top vent and removes heat from a separate vent. The result is a relatively silent passive-active cooling system.

For the AirJet Mini Slim, the company also added a self-cleaning function from dust and a Thermoception function, which allows the CO to independently determine the temperature and regulate its performance.
