As Ubisoft assures, work on the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is not only progressing at a steady pace, but has even passed a certain and very important stage. The company did not explain what this stage was and why it was so important, showing instead three conceptual sketches of the original game.

It is unknown when exactly the game will be released. The project was initially handled by Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune, but after a barrage of criticism about the graphics and several transfers, the project was transferred to Ubisoft Montreal.
