CPU has not yet been announced
The Intel Core i9-14900KS processor has not yet been presented, but somehow it is already gradually leaking onto the market.
Now photos of the packaging of this CPU and a BIOS screenshot have appeared on the Internet. There you can see confirmation that we are talking about a processor with a frequency of up to 6.2 GHz out of the box — for the first time in history. True, this is achieved, among other things, due to very high voltage — 1.5 V. How hot the CPU will be at this voltage and how much it will consume is still anyone’s guess. At the same time, all previous Core KS models, according to tests, are very slightly faster than the usual corresponding Core K, which is logical, given the small difference in frequency.
Judging by the data, three large cores will be able to operate simultaneously at 6.2 GHz. All large cores can operate at up to 5.9 GHz, which is 300 MHz higher than the Core i9-14900K. All small cores can run at 4.5 GHz versus 4.3 GHz for the Core i9-14900K. The new product is expected to hit the market this month.
