RX 550 is already seven years old
There has been nothing new in the segment of very cheap video cards for a long time. And since such products are still needed, very old adapters remain on the market. And sometimes even new versions appear. For example, ASRock introduced a new model — Radeon RX 550 Low Profile 4GB.
As the name implies, this is the Radeon RX 550. Let us remind you that it was presented in the spring of 2017, that is, it is just turning seven years old! From the name it is also clear that this is a low-profile model, so it is well suited for building compact PCs. True, the card still takes up two expansion slots.
There is no particular point in talking about any technical parameters. The only thing worth noting is the absence of an additional power connector, since the card consumes 50 W, is 170 mm long and has two video outputs: HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4.
Recall that the Radeon RX 550 is based on the Polaris 12 GPU, which was produced using a 14-nanometer process technology. The card has 4 GB of memory with a 128-bit bus and 512 stream processors.
