They are expected next year
Intel has already announced the closure of the Ponte Vecchio line of GPUs for data centers, but these solutions will be replaced by new ones later. The new line will be called Falcon Shores, and accelerators based on such GPUs will consume 1.5 kW of power!
The Falcon Shores generation is expected next year, although Intel first mentioned it back in 2021. Falcon Shores was originally planned as an XPU with CPU and GPU components, but last year the project was turned into a full-fledged GPU. Of course, not consumer, but still for the data center.
There are few details yet. Intel talks about the chiplet layout, the use of HBM3 memory and an incredible power consumption of 1500 Watts. Falcon Shores boosters will not come with any air-cooling option, which makes sense given the level of power consumption.
It is quite possible that Falcon Shores will be the leader in consumption among accelerators for data centers of any class. However, Nvidia Blackwell can consume up to 1200 W.
