Law enforcement officers can find the location of Ukrainians using the Unified Portal of State Services “Diya” . As Telegraph reports. This follows from the text of the decision of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court in the case of a group led by the former head of the State Property Fund Dmitry Sennichenko.
When considering the case, NABU provided the court with data on tracking the location of one of the organizers of the scheme for withdrawing more than 2 billion UAH from the Odessa port plant, Andrey Gmyrin (PERSON_6). It was possible to establish that in 2022-2023 he applied to the Ukrainian Consulate in Dubai to obtain copies and produce documents, in particular, international passports for his children and himself.
“The IP addresses that Gmyrin used to log into the Diya system are located in the United Arab Emirates, Austria, Italy, the Maldives and Turkey, as confirmed by the case materials” – says the court decision.
Probably, the information was received from “Action” as part of criminal proceedings by court decision. Gmyrin is a wanted suspect.
An interesting fact is that through “Diya” you can find out the location of Ukrainian citizens. This becomes relevant due to the ongoing update of data for military registration and criminal liability for systematic evasion of military registration and mobilization.
“Diya” does not track the location of users. “Diya” does not have its own database and does not store information about users, but only displays data that is already stored in state registers,” a representative of the Ministry of Digital Development of the website dev.ua commented on this information.
