The cheap Wuling Starlight sedan has already become a hit in China, now it has turned into a station wagon
The Wuling company announced on the home market a new version of the Wuling Starlight hybrid – in a station wagon. In China, station wagons are unpopular, there are very few such cars, however, the creators of the sedan decided to offer a more practical alternative to the Starlight sedan that had previously entered the market.
The station wagon will receive a hybrid power plant based on a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 106 hp. The internal combustion engine acts as a generator – it charges the traction battery, which powers the 177 hp electric motor. Pure electric range – 50 or 105 km, maximum vehicle autonomy – 1100 km.
In terms of dimensions, a station wagon should not differ much from a sedan – The wheelbase should be the same 2800 mm. The price has not been announced, but it is unlikely that the station wagon will be much more expensive than the sedan, for which in China they are asking from 12.4 to 14.8 thousand dollars.
