She has two fuel tanks

A photo of the new version of Lada Vesta NG has appeared on the Internet — bi-fuel: the car can run on both methane and regular gasoline. AvtoVAZ is testing these cars in Togliatti: the photo shows both the factory numbers and the CNG nameplate on one of them.

In general, the dual-fuel «Vesta» is not something exclusive — Such cars were produced until 2022. The break in production is associated with the need for calibrations for the domestic engine control unit. In terms of technology, this Vesta, according to Motor.ru, has everything standard: a manual gearbox and 1.6-liter engine with 106 hp. Fuel tank — in the traditional place, in the trunk there is another — methane cylinder.

The previous Lada Vesta CNG, pre-restyling, covered 1000 km on a full charge, and fuel costs were noticeably lower than those of the regular gasoline version. The same should be expected from Vest NG CNG. AvtoVAZ's new product will compete with the just announced bi-fuel BAIC U5 Plus.
