The events of the new season take place in Kyoto, Japan in 1568. The launch is scheduled for June 13, 2024.
The new season will feature a new ranked mode, 5v5 Terminal Attack, in which one team attacks, delivering a decryption key to one of two terminals, while the other defends them. The mode will offer a “more tactical and competitive” style of play, with matches decided by the best score of 13 rounds, with no healing or revives.
The Finals takes place in different cities and across different time periods, while all of The Finals' maps feature modern urban environments. But 16th-century Kyoto is made up of temples, gardens, and bamboo forests—all of which can be destroyed, just like any other environment in the game.
The setting offers a selection of themed weapons and cosmetics, including double katanas, spear and bow.
