The refueling of the Progress MS-27 cargo ship has been completed at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. fuel components and compressed gases. After returning from the refueling station, the ship was installed at a workplace in the installation and testing building to continue preparations for launch. Launch of the launch vehicle «Soyuz-2.1a» with the ship «Progress MS-27» to the International Space Station (ISS) is scheduled for May 30, 2024.
The cargo ship will deliver 2504 kg of cargo to the ISS, including 1290 kg of apparatus and equipment for station systems, packaging for scientific experiments, clothing, food, medical and sanitary products for the crew, 754 kg of fuel for refueling station, 420 kg of drinking water for astronauts and 40 kg of nitrogen to replenish the ISS atmosphere.
Including equipment — hyperspectrometer for photographing the earth's surface in various spectral ranges as part of the Hurricane experiment. It is planned to be installed on the window inside the Zvezda service module. A hyperspectrometer is necessary for solving problems of ecology, agriculture, forestry and water management, as well as monitoring emergency situations.
