Details expected at the Beijing Auto Show
Yesterday BYD introduced three new cars under the Fang Cheng Bao brand: two SUVs, Super 3 (Bao 3) and Bao 8, as well as the Super 9 supercar, which was created by BYD design head Wolfgang Eggert, a former veteran Lamborghini and Audi. In the English version, this line is called Leopard.
The Fang Cheng Bao Super 9 is a two-seater car with scissor doors. It is expected to be a battery electric vehicle (BEV) rather than a hybrid like the Bao 5. The production version will be called Bao 9 (Leopard 9).
The car is equipped with a carbon fiber cabin and seats. The racing wheel resembles a steering wheel, while physical buttons remain on the steering wheel and center panel. On the side of the car you can see the number 30, which indicates the 30th anniversary of BYD.
Fang Cheng Bao — BYD's third and latest brand launched last summer. It is positioned under the premium YangWang and above the Denza sub-brands.
The Leopard 9 will make its public debut next week at the 18th Beijing International Automobile Exhibition (Auto China 2024).
