The brand was founded by the CEO of Roborock

The young and ambitious company Rox Motor, founded in 2021 by the CEO of the famous manufacturer of robotic vacuum cleaners Roborock, is preparing to officially enter the Russian market. The news about the company's plans was announced at the Beijing International Auto Show.

Rox Motor has already established itself in the Chinese market thanks to the release of a hybrid SUV under the Jishi brand. The model with the laconic name Jishi 01 began shipping in China in November last year and immediately attracted attention with its design, developed jointly with the Italian studio Pininfarina. The SUV is produced by BAW (Beijing Automobile Works), known for its BJ212 SUV.

For Russian buyers, Jishi 01 will most likely be presented under the original Rox Motor brand. The OTTS registration process has already been launched, and after receiving it, KaiHe, the official distributor of Rox, plans to begin delivering large quantities of cars to Russia. Vadim Li, executive director of KaiHe, noted that demand for the model among Russians already exists: about 60 cars are imported into the country every month through parallel imports.

Complete certification of Jishi 01 is expected before the end of 2024, after which the SUV will go on sale almost immediately. Currently, the distributor is actively searching for partners to create a dealer network and Russification of the car’s multimedia system. The preliminary cost of Jishi 01 in Russia will be more than 7 million rubles, like the popular Li Auto cars.
