Manned spacecraft «Soyuz MS-26» delivered to the Baikonur cosmodrome, as reported by the press service of Roscosmos. Today, December 25, the ship was unloaded and installed at the workplace in the installation and testing building of the 254th site of the cosmodrome. «Soyuz MS-26» will be prepared for launch to the International Space Station (ISS), which is scheduled for September 11, 2024, the launch will be carried out using the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle.

Specialists of the Rocket and Space Corporation «Energy» (part of Roscosmos) will soon begin an external inspection of the «Soyuz MS-26» and check the mechanisms for opening solar panels. After this, the ship will be put into storage mode until immediate preparations for launch begin. Preparation for the flight on the «Soyuz MS-26» cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner are currently undergoing flights, and NASA astronaut Donald Pettit will also join the crew as part of the cross-flight program.
