According to this, the development of ultra-light disposable rockets is now underway, and in the interests of Roscosmos, the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (MIT) is creating the Start-1M rocket, and the planned date of its launch is 2026
Rocket «Start-1M» will continue the line of conversion missiles of the Start series, which are designed on the basis of the Topol intercontinental ballistic missiles. It is known that the new rocket will ensure the preparation and launch of spacecraft weighing 150 – 700 kg into orbits with an altitude of 200 – 1,500 km. Such rockets will take off from the Vostochny and Plesetsk cosmodromes.
